Published: 13 March 2026
Estate management updates
- Outstanding pins/works from the gilston.info website
- Missing bridge on footpath E7
We are awaiting a quote for a recycled material bridge. We are awaiting an installation date from the contractor - Debris and fly tipping at Eastwick Hall Farm
The team is aware of green waste being left in this location. We are arranging for this to be collected, and we are taking steps to prevent this from happening again, including new CCTV and signs being installed.
Planning updates
- Villages 5 & 6 – Community Working Group 2
Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for the first Community Working Group. We are in the process of finalising the details for the second session, with further information about this being circulated shortly. Please let us know if you have any questions at this stage. - SLMP & V1MP updates
The SLMP has now been approved by EHDC – please click here for further information. The submission of the V1MP will be in the coming weeks. - Archaeology works
The archaeology works being undertaken across the areas which will become Villages 5 and 6 are nearing the end of their programme. Once the work is complete, all of the trenches will be backfilled.
Upcoming enabling works
There are upcoming enabling works taking place over the next two weeks. This work will focus on trial holes and vegetation works, taking place across multiple sites along the A414 and Eastwick Road between the 16th – 26th March. Traffic lights will be in place from 19th – 26th between the hours of 9am – 3pm. The exact locations of the works and associated dates can be found in the attached document. These are being added as pins on the gilston.info website, but please let us know if you have any questions about these works.
The details and dates for the wider upcoming construction works are still being finalised, so we will arrange a drop-in session about this in due course once everything is confirmed.
gilston.info website update
The ability to include photos when submitting pins on the gilston.info website is now being rolled out. You will be able to upload an image from the camera roll or take a photo with your mobile phone/tablet, or upload a photo from your desktop computer. This feature will hopefully make it easier to report issues across the estate.

Stakeholder Liaison Group meeting – change of date
Due to a diary clash, we will be moving the next Stakeholder Liaison Group meeting from Tuesday 24th March to Thursday 2nd April – 12.30pm – 2.30pm. The meeting will take place at Parndon Mill, Parndon Mill Ln, Harlow, CM20 2HP – I will shortly update the diary invitation. Thank you to those of you who have submitted ideas for the agenda; we will circulate an agenda the week prior to the meeting. Just a reminder that this is a private meeting and only those who are invited are welcome to attend. Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements.
